It’s finally the holiday season! After a long, rough year, I think we can all say we are excited about the holidays, Christmas especially. Many of us have families visiting us from all across America since everyone wants to be in The Villages® Community, Florida, during the winter. But, what kind of weather can we expect during Christmas and for other holidays?
Florida is a very humid state. It rains almost every day here in some places. However, during December, the rain doesn’t happen as often. It’s mostly just chilly, sunny, or even cloudy days, during December. The Villages® Community is located in Central Florida, so it has the best of both worlds.
In Central Florida, you can experience cold and heat. Temperatures during December in the Villages range from 48°F to 73°F. It can get frigid here during Christmas, but if you come from the north, you know that 48°F is nothing! But for us Floridians, it can be chilly. Thankfully, it doesn’t get too hot here during Christmas time.
Christmas in The Villages® Community is a beautiful thing. But since it’s the holidays and you need to buy presents and spend time with your family, you’re probably going to go outside a lot! We recommend you wear about two layers and wear some comfortable pants as well. The weather here is fantastic, but make sure you wear a jacket because it gets cold!
